Halloween season is bringing chills early with two big trailer drops — Scream 7 and Stranger Things 5. Horror and sci-fi fans got a thrilling treat on Thursday night, as both highly anticipated previews hit the internet together.
The Scream 7 trailer marks the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, alongside Courteney Cox. This time, Sidney’s peaceful life is shattered when a new Ghostface killer targets her daughter, played by Isabel May. The cast also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, and Mark Consuelos. Fans were surprised to see familiar faces return — even some long thought dead — like David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley. Directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, the film slashes into theaters on February 27, 2026, following the success of Scream VI in 2023.
Meanwhile, Netflix dropped the first look at Stranger Things 5, teasing a darker, more chaotic story. Set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins is now quarantined and fully consumed by the Upside Down. The trailer’s haunting tone is backed by the Queen classic “Who Wants to Live Forever,” reflecting the high stakes for Eleven and her friends.
According to co-creator Ross Duffer, the final season begins “in chaos,” picking up right after the team’s defeat in Season 4. Volume 1 premieres November 26, followed by more episodes around Christmas and New Year’s — a perfect holiday binge with a side of fear.
